The purpose of this program is to make the national spirit stronger and stronger among the countrymen and to increase patriotism with pride for their country in the minds of every citizen.

Under this campaign, the website www.harghartiranga.com has been launched by the Ministry of Culture. To mark their contribution on this website citizens have to log in and pin a virtual flag to their address after writing their name and number after which a virtual flag will appear on the map of India at their location.

Citizens have also been requested to upload selfies with the flag and use the official hashtag #harghartiranga to spread awareness about the website.
So far more than 4 million people have pinned the flag
As part of this campaign, 40,14,933 citizens have pinned the flag at their location till July 30. While 5,79,520 citizens have uploaded a selfie with the flag.
