Paresh Goswami, a well-known meteorologist of Gujarat, has given a new forecast about the rains in Gujarat.  In which he has said that there is a possibility of rain with heavy wind in Gujarat by 16th.  Along with this, he has also predicted severe heat from 17th.


The intensity of rain will increase on 15th


Today, Madhya Pradesh bordering Gujarat and areas near the border of Maharashtra are likely to record a reduction in rainfall intensity.  But on the other hand the rain system is moving towards northwest.  Because of this, Saurashtra, Kutch, North Gujarat and parts of Madhyagujra, i.e., from Rajasthan to Arabian Sea, there may be an increase in rainfall intensity.

Meteorological expert Ambalal Patel has predicted that there is still a possibility of pre-monsoon activity by the next 16th.


Rain Forecast: There is a possibility of rain in many parts of Gujarat.  In addition to this, pre-monsoon activity is scheduled to take place by 19th.  A lot of tornadoes can be seen.  After 17th there may be extreme heat.  The maximum temperature is likely to be 43 to 44 degrees in parts of Central Gujarat.  The temperature is likely to be 43 degrees in the areas of North Gujarat.  The number of cyclones is likely to be high, including Banaskantha, Disa, Kankrej, Palanpur, Radhanpur.  Wind speed may be higher in parts of Kutch.  Wind gusts of 30 to 40 km may occur.


Rain forecast from 24th May to 4th June


He has further informed that there is a possibility of pre-monsoon activity even at the end of May.  Between May 24 and June 4, Rohini Nakshatra rain is likely to occur in many parts of Gujarat.  Monsoon is likely to settle in Andaman and Nicobar after May 16 in Bay of Bengal till May 24.


Along with this, Ambalal Patel has said that this year monsoon may set earlier.  A cyclone is likely to occur in the Arabian Sea in late May and early June.  The Western Ocean will be warmer than other oceans.  Due to which there is a possibility of cyclone becoming active.  There is a possibility of rain in Mrigashirsha Nakshatra.  Ambalal Patel has predicted that the initial monsoon rains will also be accompanied by heavy thunderstorms.
