On February 15, the Union Telecom Ministry also directed to formulate a special strategy to curb fraudulent activities involving use of telecom resources, including blocking of telecom services operations due to rising concerns in Jamtara and Mewat areas. Under which a nodal agency named Digital Intelligence Unit (DIU) has been created and Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAFCOP) system has also been developed.

 Learn about the TAFCOP system

 The Department of Telecom has launched a portal with the domain 'tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in'.  A database of all mobile numbers active across the country has been uploaded in this portal.  This portal is an attempt to prevent spam and fraud.  If you believe that someone else is using the mobile number in your name, then you can make a complaint through this website.  Let's know how to use this website.

 HOW TO USE THE TAFCOP SYSTEM?

 1) Firstly, open the website 'tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in' on your mobile phone browser or laptop or computer.

 2) After this enter your 10 digit mobile number.  Now an OTP will come to your number.  Enter and validate that OTP.

 3) After verifying the OTP, you will get a list of all the numbers which are running in your name.  From there, you can report any number as per your convenience.

 4) The government will then check the numbers running on your number, about which you have complained.

 tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in Currently released for some circles.  Soon it will be introduced in all circles.  Up to nine mobile numbers can be used on one ID proof, but if you see a number in this portal which is running in your name but you do not use it, then you can complain about that number.  can do.  The government will then block that number.
